- As a result of the AFU offensive action, the Russian battalion commander and at least 5 servicemen were captured;
- On August 13, the AFU are holding a bridgehead to the south of the village of Cossac Laheri;
- On August 14, heavy artillery attacks and fighting continue near Cossak Laheri;
- Clashes between the AFU and Russian army were reported near the Antonovsky Bridge;
- On August 13, up to 20 Ukrainian servicemen, 4 motor vehicles, and 1 M777 artillery system were destroyed in Kherson region, according to the Russian MOD.
one of the objectives is not to damage the infrastructure which is obvious because the battles take place in russian speaking territories. in that perspective it is good there is a second bridgehead in an area that has no strategic meaning. i must say i am surprised kiev can still attack after huge losses so nazi dreams are not over yet.
the russians have small numbers here at the moment. that said, the ukrainians are in the advantage. most of the russian fortifications that were along the shoreline, the mines and traps for boats were washed away when the ukrainians blew the dam up the river. the russians will let the ukrianians occupying some of the bank. they won’t have the logistics to provide for large forces. at the same time, every day they lose countless pieces of equipment and men trying to hold this small areas.
indeed it is a trap again for nato. sadly the us created kosovo, but does not allow the same for people in donbass.
