Iraqi security forces are still not able to break ISIS defense lines in the Old Mosul area and in the nearby neighborhoods in the city of Mosul. A heavy bombing campaign launched by the US-led coalition on the remaining ISIS-held area of the city has already led to the destruction of all civilian infrastructure there. However, the terrorist group remains in control of this urbanized area.
