A brief overview of the recent developments in Iraq:
- The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) and the Iraqi Armed Forces carried out a patrol and clearing operation near the town of al-Qaim in Anbar province;
- A 1 civilian contractor was killed and 2 others were injured as a result of an IED blast on the highway between Babil and Diwaniyah;
- On September 8, a police patrol struck an IED near the Al-Ayadah Bridge in central Fallujah city. No casualties were reported.
