Ukronazi defense lines are slowly collapsing. As long as the grinding is on, there is no hurry on the Russian side. Good.
That said, a major encirclement such as in Bakhmut will not take much time or heavy losses. Not to mention will force ukraine to spend massive quantities of manpower and equipment to attempt to breakout. After all, there are many foreign mercenaries and advisors in Bakhmut that cannot be abandoned. The men fighting in the Ukrianian ranks however can be.
The Russians have been effing around Bakhmut for nine months, there is no excuse for how the Kremlin is conducting this war.
Within five more months there won’t be Ukrainian forces of significance. Whereas Russia will have achieved it with minimal losses of its own. So no need for excuses.
