The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) continue their operation against ISIS in the Hajin pocket in the Euphrates Valley. The SDF has established control of most of the town of Hajin, but it has not been able to secure the town because of repeated ISIS counter-attacks. The sitaution is developing.

NEW RULES OF ENGAGEMENT BETWEEN SYRIA AND ISRAEL, AS RUSSIA CHANGES ITS POSITION
Russia upgrading Syrian air defenses seemed to be a rather weak response to the Il-20 downing by Israel. It looks like that was just the preparation for letting Syria off the chain the next time Israel strikes. This explains Israel’s obsession with hitting missile factories, warehouses, etc.
This has to be seen as an existential threat to Israel. What’s the point of bullying your disobedient neighbors if they can punch you in the face in return? CENTCOM, I think that means you’re up. Defend your Israeli masters – that’s why you were created. Oh, and please register as an agent of a foreign power. Rules are rules.
AA systems only take out jets, ballistic missiles take out chunks of cities, this has been the real deterrent all along for Israel. Since the second Iranian missile strike against Isis in Syria there have been no Israeli airstrikes in Iran, lebanon or Syria, apart from the one a few weeks ago.
That supposed Israeli missile strike against Syria isn’t all we’re led to believe it was either, there are things we’re not being told about that.
The missile that fell in the Golon heights is still a mystery, no conformation it was definitely a AA missile yet, only speculation, the Israelis haven’t made an official announcement, just rumours. Even if it was an AA missile why was it there, what was the target it took out. Even the S-400 couldn’t react in time to hit a Israeli missile launched from Israel into Syria that quickly, they need a few seconds to locate and lock the target, then the missiles need a few seconds to get up to speed and hit the target, and they couldn’t hit an Israeli missile over the Golon heights at all, that’s if it was launched from nearby, and that’s what the Israelis do, minimize detection time. So what the hell would that missile have been. I’m speculating it may have been a HTS rocket that was actually launched from the Golon heights, it may have either been taken out by the pantsir system or possibly a similar Israeli system. And for all the talk about a massive Israeli strike, where’s all the photos and video to prove it, there should be thousands of them, this is one of the most heavily populated places on earth after all, a few crappy videos on the net tell me there was no massive Israeli strike at all, just a big secret we’re not privy to.
But most importantly, why has Assad made no official statement about what actually happened, the Israelis keep saying it’s because he’s embarrassed that his AA systems weren’t effective, but it never stopped him from complaining about it before.
That supposed Israeli missile strike has been swept under the carpet for a reason, there’s more to the story than we’re being told.
Syria Lebanon and Iran are all on the same page now, you spit in our face, we knock all your teeth out, I love it. Glad you posted it, I hadn’t seen or heard of it until now so you just made my day, thanks.
Why is Al-Safa black again, together with another blimp above ?.
Al Safa is always dark on maps ( black lava ).
To the north there may be some ISIS hiding out in the desert, or uncontrolled terrain.
Oh thanks. Sorry, I forgot about the volcanic part. doh !
