I think they need a broader offensive line

Yes, SAA taking the Mount Bishri triangle would achieve this quite nicely.
Pretty much linking the northern and central advance.

They are trying to get past T2 since Daesh is heavily invested in that region there, but they made a mistake and withdrew units to conduct their offensive which fizzled and lost steam. The SAA forces regained all their losses and hundreds dead on Daesh side , Tigers best brigade retook the Ghanim-Ali area killing scores of them. The Central push obliterated 800 Daesh and destroyed equipment, even T2 ground was gained.

The Fronts are doing well the cleaning up of the pockets will continue while they are 75km within striking distance of DE, they are taking the hills and high points around as Sukhna this should help in protecting the supply lines and flanks.

This Mount Bishri triangle is your mania.

From the south they keep defence, in al-bukamal isis is strong, from the north its a decoy? so to keep many isis fighters busy, the main advance will be done from the center from sukhna, it makes sense.

Livemap Syria has the SAA forces advancing from Sukhnah now on the border of Deir Ezzor province, only 66 km from Deir Ezzor itself.
