russia and the west have so many nukes that they would not be able to deploy all of them before both sides are utterly destroyed by the opening salvos in a nuclear exchange, also, russias higher yield nukes offer no strategic gain since both sides already have enough nukes with a high enough yield to destroy the world 10x over

The main road to the north of Bakhmut is completely under Russian fire control and almost completely cutoff. The main road west is in a similar position. The encirclement of Bakhmut is almost complete. There is between 10,000 and 20,000 in and around the city as it stands given Ukraines own numbers. That is a sizable number of combatants. How long will they hold out during winter with no supplies? Find out over these coming weeks.

Clyde

Yes, but can they still get to the airfield at Pitomnnik?

CentralAsianStudies

You do realize Pitomnnik is right outside Volgodrad right? Far from the fighting, over 400km from the front lines…

Clyde

Pitomnnik was the principle resupply airfield for Paulus’ 6th Army at Stalingrad, but thanks for playing.

And the confirmation of what we, Pamfil Military Academy said long ago:

В России для нужд Спецоперации в несколько раз нарастили производство управляемых артиллерийских снарядов “Краснополь”, которые станут одним из средств эффективного уничтожения танков Abrams и Leopard, – РИА Новости

In Russia, for the needs of the Special Operations, the production of Krasnopol guided artillery shells has increased several times, which will become one of the means of effectively destroying Abrams and Leopard tanks, – RIA Novosti
