A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:
- At least 17 Taliban members were killed during a 10-day clearing operation in the Marjah district of Helmand province, the 205th Atal military corps claimed;
- On November 22, the Afghan Air Force received five MD-530 Cayuse Warrior light attack helicopters on November 22. They were delivered as a part of the delivery of 30 helicopters ordered by the US Army under a wider $1.4 billion Foreign Military Sales contract issued in September 2017;
- The Taliban announced that its forces had stormed a checkpoint in Kunduz city killing 8 government troops;
- 12 government troops were killed in the Nasi district of Badakhshan province, the Taliban said.
