Military Situation In Afghanistan On May 19, 2019 (Map Update)

• A group of 26 Afghan pilots and door gunners completed their training for UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters in southern Kandahar province in May;
• At leat 25 people were killed or injured in an explosion in Herat province;
• The Taliban claimed that its members had killed or injured 17 pro-government fighters in the Marjah district, Helmand province;
• The Taliban killed 19 pro-government fighters and injured 27 others in an attack in the Seyuire district, Zabul province, according to pro-Taliban sources.
