Military Situation In Afghanistan On March 9, 2019 (Map Update)

A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:

• 5 pro-government fighters were killed in an attack on their outpost in the Toth area, Farah province, according to the Taliban media wing. A mortar, a machine gun and several assault rifles were seized;
• Taliban fighters killed 3 soldiers and wounded 4 others in an attack in the Maqur district, Badhis province, according to the group’s media wing;
• The Taliban claims that at least 70 civilians were killed in attacks by Kabul forces and their NATO allies in February.
