MORE ON THE TOPIC:
This map by no means shows the current reality of Afghanistan. Why didn’t SF cover the war in Panjshir valley in the past weeks when dozens of Taliban were killed by NRF and is still continuing? How about the Taliban helicopter shot down in Panjshir and 5 Taliban taken as captives 2 days ago? SF has no information about it? Really?
Yea, I’d certainly designate three or four districts of Panjshir as contested by this point.
There is a lot of hype & garbage that unfortunately circulates from a number of NRF accounts.
At day’s end, the Taliban unfortunately do have communications locked down in Panjshir, and it’s a lot simpler to verify whether the Islamic State got a bomb off in some urban center than what the state of the battlefield is in Panjshir.
