A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:
- At least 4 government fighters and 11 Taliban members were killed in clashes in the Tagab district of Kapisa province, according local authorities;
- 171 personnel of government forces were killed and 250 others were wounded in Taliban attacks during the past week, government sources reported;
- At least 1 civilian was killed and 2 others were wounded in an IED blast in PD12 of Jalalabad city;
- The Taliban announced that 934 Kabul administration workers joined the group in May.
