The Taliban has carried 2 fresh attacks on positions of government forces in Afghanistan:
- The group reportedly captured 2 checkpoints in the district Qisar wounding or killing at least 19 pro-government fighters;
- The Taliban attacked a government convoy in the district Pol-e-Khomri. According to the group, a vehicle was reportedly destroyed and 13 pro-government fighters were reportedly killed.

Excuse me, but there are no defined lines of control whatsoever in Afghanistan. You could go from the heart of ISIS turf to the heart of government territory and not even notice the transition. You’d be better off making tick marks all over the map showing known checkpoints and FOBs.
