A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:
- At least 2 civilians were injured in a motorcycle bomb explosion in the Bagh-e-Bala parc in Kabul city;
- An Afghan National Army colonel and his driver were shot dead by unknown gunmen in the Kart-e-Naw area in Kabul city;
- Afghan security forces arrested Mullah Akhtar, a key Taliban commander in Shakar Dara, in Kabul province;
- At least seven civilians were killed in a roadside mine blast in the Ghazni province.
