Military Overview: Russian Army Continues Advance In All Directions

In the Kursk direction, after taking Darino and Nizhny Klin, the Russian Armed Forces continue to hold the initiative, but the Ukrainian side is putting up fierce resistance, trying to hold its bridgehead at the cost of huge losses of personnel.

On the outskirts of Plyokhovo, assault units of the Russian Northern group continue to push through the AFU (Armed Forces of Ukraine) defenses.

North of the village of Sudzha, the Kursk Region, a tactical ballistic missile system (OTRK) hit an area where personnel and equipment of the 17th Ukrainian brigade were concentrated.

In just one day, the AFU’s losses in the Kursk Region amounted to more than 250 servicemen. Two tanks, two infantry fighting vehicles, one armored combat vehicle, as well as four automobiles, and two mortars were destroyed.

In the Kharkiv direction, local hostilities were reported in Vovchansk and in the Lyptsi area. The Ukrainian army is constantly attempting to counterattack.

In the Kupiansk direction, there is an expansion of the Russian control zone northwest of Kolesnikovka, as well as a significant advance of the Russian Armed Forces in the Kupyansk-Lozovaya section of the front. They are also having tactical success in Zagryzovo. According to the reports, at least half of the village is under Russian control now.

In the Krasnyi Lyman direction, the Russian Armed Forces have dislodged Ukrainian troops from the northern part of the Kruglaya Balka. Russian units are also advancing towards Yampolovka. In the village of Torske, the assault groups are still engaged in counter-fighting.

In the Siversk direction, the situation is characterized by position battles and local skirmishes in the areas of Verkhnekamenskoye and Belogorovka. No significant changes were recorded there.

In the Kostiantynivka direction in Toretsk (Dzerzhinsk), active assault actions are ongoing near the mines and in the city center.

In the Artemivsk (Bahmut) direction, Russian troops are conducting a systematic offensive both in and around Chasiv Yar. Over the past month, the Russian Armed Forces managed to break through its enemy’s defenses in several key areas and reached the outskirts of the Chasiv Yar refractory plant. The assault is currently underway there. There are also battles for the high points. The Russians are advancing south of Chasiv Yar with a broad front.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian troops took control of the village of Zhyoltoye and continued their advance northwards, moving towards Novy Trud.

It is reported that the Russian Armed Forces are keeping pressure on Novopustynka and covering Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmiisk).

12 km southwest of it is the village of Udachnoye with deposits of coking coal, the loss of which threatens the collapse of the Ukrainian steel industry.

Assaults and heavy fighting are underway in Lysovka. The Russian Armed Forces are pulling up their flanks, concentrating on the Selidovo-Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmiisk) highway. They have already begun assault operations in Pushkino. Taking control of this settlement opens up the prospect of access to the Kurakhove-Pokrovsk highway.

In the Kurakhove direction, the Russian Army continues to put pressure on the “’pocket” in the area of the Sukhi Yaly River from the south. Advancement in the neighborhood of Konstantinopolskoye and Yasnaya Polyana was recorded, and assaults continue in the direction of Konstantinopolskoye and Yasnaya Polyana, as well as towards Vesely Gai. In Kurakhove itself, fierce fighting are underway in the residential district of high-rise buildings. To the north of the reservoir there is severe hostilities in the area of Stari Terny and Sontsivka. Russian units are systematically cleaning up the territory in the killing area.

In the central part of Kurakhove, Russian troops seized the school No. 5, three high-rise buildings and advanced along Prokofiev, Istoricheskaya, Michurina, Nakhimova and Sadovaya Streets.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Russian units captured the village of Razdolnoye in the Vremevskoye section of the front. The AFU are attempting to counterattack and get a grip on the northwestern outskirts of the settlement. There is also a significant expansion of the Russian control zone southwest of Razdolnoye, where preconditions are being created for bypassing the Ukrainian positions in the north of Velyka Novosilka. In the Orikhiv section, the Russians have intensified pressure on the flanks.

In the Kherson direction, Russian forces keep hitting the rear sites of the Ukrainian Army, reducing its defensive capabilities. No significant changes have been recorded so far.

Against this backdrop, Russia struck a railroad train with ATACMS and Storm Shadow missiles near the port of Chornomorsk in Ukraine.

In addition, in Kiev, unknown people sprayed a graffiti tag for a missile strike with the caption “Putin, shoot here!” near the building of the Verkhovna Rada (parliament).
