On the night of July 31, Ukrainian military and industrial facilities came under new massive wave of Russian strikes. The Ukrainian side claimed that the Russian military launched a combined attack with UAVs and missiles launched by strategic bombers of the Russian Aerospace Forces. The Ukrainian military is traditionally claiming that all Russian UAVs were allegedly destroyed by the almighty Ukrainian air defense forces; but after different lies of the Ukrainian military and political officials were revealed, their reports are difficult to trust.

Ukrainian media reported that this was one of the largest Russian attacks in the Ukrainian rear regions launched in 2024. According to their reports, up to 89 Russian UAVs were launched. Some reports claimed that almost a hundred of Russian drones targeted the Kyiv region alone. Most of the strikes were launched from the Russian border Kursk region from the east and from Crimea in the south.

While Kyiv is hiding the true results of Russian attacks, different Russian and Ukrainian monitoring sources are trying to assess the damage. According to some estimations, about 20 targets were destroyed across the country.

Russian strikes were reported in the Kyiv, Poltava, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Dnepropetrovsk, Sumy, Zhitomir, Kirovograd regions.

Most of Russian strikes last night targeted the outskirts of the Ukrainian capital and other cities in the Kyiv region.

The local authorities were confusing their official reports. According to the mayor of the city Klichko, the air defense forces were working hard to repel the attack, but later the city administration denied his claims, saying that there were no explosions and the air defense was not working in the city.

Nevertheless, local residents reported large explosions in the area of the local Boryspil airport, which is used by the Ukrainian military as a military airfield and a logistics hub for transfer of military equipment. According to unofficial reports, Ukrainian air defense systems and temporary accommodation point for foreign military and mercenaries deployed in the area came under Russian attack.

More successful strikes were reported in the Goloseevsky district of the Ukrainian capital. The target were reportedly some military workshops used for production of UAVs.

Power outages were reported in the city after the Russian attack, suggesting that the Russian strikes damaged some energy infrastructure.

The capital was not the only city attacked in the Kyiv region. Russian drone strikes were reported in the area of Brovary, where the target was likely a military base of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Two Russian ballistic missiles struck the city of Bila Tserkva located on the southwestern outskirts of the capital. According to Ukrainian reports, the city was attacked by missiles launched from the Russian Voronezh region. Thus, the distance of the strikes was reportedly more than 600 kilometers. The officially declared range of Russian Iskander-M ballistic missiles is not more than 500 kilometers. However, some reports recently claimed that the Russian military has new missile for Iskander-M complexes, which can reach targets at the distance of 1000 kilometers.

Another series of Russian strikes destroyed targets in the Poltava region.

One of them was the Mirgorod military airfield that is pounded by Russian missiles on a regular basis. According to preliminary reports, at least five Russian strikes were recorder in the area of the airfield last night. The locals reported prolonged secondary detonation was herd in the area. A military warehouse was probably destroyed. Russian strikes could also destroy a military base with foreign militants hidden on the territory of the local sanatorium named after Gogol. A large explosion also thundered in the area of the large fuel depot Poltavtoplivo located near Mirgorod.

The ongoing strikes on the Mirgorod airfield are aimed to destroy aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Forces as well as the local infrastructure necessary to perform operations in the air. This airfield is supposed to become one of the possible bases for the F-16 fighters from NATO, which are already reportedly coming to Ukraine.

A large secondary detonation was reported as a result of the strikes on another military warehouse in the city of Kremenchug in the Poltava region. They were destroyed near the local railway station.

More explosions thundered in the Dnepropetrovsk region. Some targets were destroyed in the city of Pavlograd, which is an important logistics hub of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. More strikes targeted the city of Krivy Rih.

The Ukrainian military suffered heavy losses in the eastern Kharkiv region last night. Russian bombs, drones and missiles destroyed military facilities in different areas, including near Chuguev, Kupyansk and Volchansk. One of them was the point of deployment of the Ukrainian Nazi Kraken battalion.

Several military bases came under strikes in the city of Svetlovodsk in the Kirovograd region and in the Zhitomir region. In the Mykolaiv region, explosions thundered in the area of Voznesensk, where another Ukrainian military airfield is located.

Ukrainian military sources complained that the Russian military used its new Gerbera UAVs together with Geran kamikaze drones and different missiles during the night attack. The new Russian UAVs were recently presented by their developers and they already targeted the Ukrainian capital in previous attacks. Russian Gerberas are reportedly cheaper than other drones of this type and they again completed their task, which was to distract Ukrainian air defense throughout the country.

they’re advancing and taking more land. not as much as you would like, but still better than retreating.

russia never said it was doing an offensive.
they said they were doing attrition war and the number of dead ukrainian keep piling up.
territory is a plus, but i guess it’s been so much that you need to call it an offensive.

The Iceman Cometh

ukraine’s fascist renaissance has been the flop of the millennium, worse than italy’s even.

only if you think the number of dead ukrainians can be fully replenished.
ukraine can’t and a result of that they’re losing more people every month.
1600-2100 per day has been the new normal this month.
it used to be 500-600 a day at the beginning of the year.

unlike washington and brussels, i take no pleasure in the death of anyone in this war but you must admit, ukrainian attrition is certainly improving their gene pool.
