  • 413 people were killed and 3551 others were wounded since the onset of the conflicts in Sudan, according to the World Health Organization;
  • On April 19, the Sudanese Army claimed that it could retake the Merowe International Airport, but the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) ruled out the declaration;
  • On April 21, warplanes of the Sudanese Army struck military position of RSF militants in southern part of Khartoum;
  • An American citizen was killed in Khartoum before the potential withdrawal of the US staff from the US embassy, according to the US Department of Defense;
  • Several fighter jets belonging to the Sudanese Army and Egyptian forces were damaged or destroyed in the Merowe airport;
  • RSF militants handed over 27 Egyptian military personnel, who were arrested at the Merowe airport on April 19, to the Red Crescent. The Egyptian military were evacuated from Khartoum to Cairo.
