Military Aircraft Crashes In Southern Turkey. 3 Crew Members Die

A CASA CN-235 military training aircraft has crashed in Turkey’s southern Isparta province, according to the province’s governor. The incident took place in Yalvac district on January 16 and resulted in killing of 3 crew members on board.

According to Governor Sehmus Gunaydın there was thick fog in the area, which was likely the cause of the crash.

The Turkish Armed Forces revealed that the aircraft took off for a planned training flight from the 1st Jet Base Command in the province of Eskisehir at 11:03 am with two pilots and a technician, radar connection was lost around 12:50 pm, rescue teams reached the crash site around 2:30 pm.
