On February 10, a Turkish military unit came under attack while conducting a patrol on the Lattakia-Aleppo highway, the M4, in the northeastern Syrian region of Greater Idlib.

According to Syrian opposition sources, one of the patrol’s vehicles, a BMC Vuran, was struck with landmine as it was passing between the towns of Urum al-Jawz and Arihah in southern Idlib. The vehicle was damaged. Nevertheless, no human losses were reported.

A mysterious jihadi group calling itself “al-Taliyah al-Mujahida” claimed responsibility for the attack on the patrol. This was the first attack by the group.

“The land of the Sham [Syria] is rebellious to you, O enemies of God,” the group said in a statement. “We will not allow you to run your malicious projects that aim to extinguish the flame of jihad on the land of Sham.”

The group also shared photos showing the moment when the landmine hit the Turkish military’s BMC Vuran armored vehicle on the M4 highway.

This was the third attack to target Turkish troops in Greater Idlib since the start of this year. The first attack, which was carried out by Saryat Ansar Abu Baker As-Siddiq on January 16, targeted a Turkish post near the town of Batabo in northern Idlib. Three soldiers were injured.

The second attack targeted a Turkish post near the town of Muhambal in northwestern Idlib on February 3. A soldier was killed and another was injured.

Al-Taliyah al-Mujahida appears to be following the same ideology as al-Qaeda. Turkish forces in Greater Idlib have been shielding al-Qaeda-affiliated groups, namely Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, from Syrian government forces for more than two years now.

“…A mysterious jihadi group calling itself “al-Taliyah al-Mujahida” claimed responsibility for the attack on the patrol…”

That literally means “Holy warriors against higher prices,” which is the Saudi Wal*Mart slogan. The CIA is just making up these ridiculous names to troll everyone.

Maybe start arming these militias? If there’s no offensive anyway, why let their anger go to waste

Willing Conscience (The Truths

These militias are the ones opposed to the Russian/Turkish March 2020 ceasefire agreement, they want to continue the Jihad and overthrow Assad, that’s why they’re upset with Turkey and turning on their masters, so arming them won’t help anyone at all.

One day you are fighting together and the next day he is trying to fuck you up the arse. Just the sort of action Jens would love. Too many groups arguing over whose wife or goat gets fucked tonight.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

HTS isn’t attacking the SAA anymore but this group attacks the SAA, HTS, and the Turks whenever they get the opportunity, so I don’t think they’ll last too long, no one on either side likes them.

Now we are talking.
