Turkish military have transferred to the Syrian border from the west of the country 20 additional tanks, reports theAnadolu agency, referring to military sources on Wednesday.

“Twenty tanks located in the western provinces of Turkey, were transferred by rail to Gaziantep in the south of the country, from where they were accompanied by police and gendarmerie in being transported to the Syrian border”, as indicated in the report.

Moving 20 tanks toward the border against Russia’s modern military power kind of reminds me of the use of what were then known as “five-minute” pre-dreadnaughts by Germany at the Battle of Jutland, except in this case those 20 tanks together will be lucky to last five minutes.
