The Syrian Tiger Forces and their allies have liberated Aswad Hill, Mazraat Qahirah, Ras al-Ain, Qubaybat Abu al-Huda and the Abandoned Air Defense Base in southern Idlib from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda).
Pro-government sources say that the ongoing Tiger Forces advance is a part of the wider effort aimed to re-capture the entire area west of Khanasir from the militants.
At this rate, it will take 1 million days to liberate Idlib.
Idlib is an area of concentration for terrorists. Liberation is not a priority
What do these people want ? Becoming Saudi Arabia ?
NO… The majority of Syrians want freedom, which is exactly what Assad offers them…
Absolutely. Finally, truth surfaced.
It takes one or two major battles in Idlib in order for the defenses to collapse in the entire province.
Terrorist do not have the support of the local population.
It’s a nest full of jihadis. All kinds of groups that share the same ideology as ISIS.
It’s hornets nest, full of underground tunnels, entire networks builded in all these many, many years. They’d eternity, to forties them selvesbut now it’s just over.
If on January of 2017 someone said that 11 months later ISIS would be reduced to a few gangs hiding in the desert, many would not believe him. At that point they had retaken Palmyra yet again and the situation in Deir Ezzor seemed helpless.
HTS and the other islamist groups are not as strong and united, in a few months the situation will be very different on the map I predict!
Good prediction.
