On November 14, Faylaq Al-Rahman and Ahrar Al-Sham attacked positions the Syrian Arab Army and the National Defense Forces in the Eastern Ghouta region, near Damascus. The militants used a car bomb to start their advance and then attacked the Armored Vehicle Base near the militant-held village of Harsta.
Units of Ahrar al-Sham and Faylaq Al-Rahman advanced from the northern and eastern directions in an attempt to cut the base off the rest of the government-held area.
Clashes are now ongoing there.
According to pro-government sources, the militants have alredy failed to overrun the army’s defenses.
