Syrian government forces have liberated Tal Afghar and Ruwaydah from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) in southern Idlib. Controlling Tal Afghar, the Syrian Arab Army is able to prevent ISIS from expanding deeper in the northwestern direction.
I am not belittling the above, but please review this article from yesterday on NEO – https://journal-neo.org/2017/12/19/israel-saudi-arabia-and-the-us-are-about-to-invade-syria/
Many of us stated that for the Yankers, this is not over.
SAA should shoot for abu duhur from 3 prongs, from north, east, and south directions, or possibly try to encircle it from the other side
Valid point man, for some reason, I think Fu’ah and Kafraya are the main goal here. They are just waiting for HTS and co to move their manpower and equipment where SAA wants them. Once that is done, they can go loco on what is left.
where is fu’ah and kafraya? i cant find them on the map
All good, have a look on any Syria War Map, Idlib area near Turkey. There are two villages that have been besieged for years and the last deal to transfer people out ended up in a suicide attack by Al-Qaeda that killed plenty of people, mainly children and women. Yet the Jihadis left Aleppo in one piece with full media coverage. If you need any links, just ask.
many thanks!
