The Libyan National Army (LNA) announced on September 29 that warplanes of the Libyan Air Force (LAF) had carried out a series of airstrikes on forces supporting the Government of National Accord (GNA) near the key city of Sirte in the northern part of the country.
“Heavy strikes and accurate targeting on Sirte front, inside and outside the city targeting the positions of militias and their headquarters, inflicting significant losses,” a press release by the LNA’s operations room reads.
The army went on to claim that the airstrikes have led to a state of “confusion and panic” among GNA forces stationed inside Sirte.
From its side, the GNA claimed that the airstrikes were carried out by unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs) of the UAE Air Force (UAEAF). The government said that the airstrikes targeted Sirte complex for mills and feed.
The UAEAF is known for operating several UCAVs over Libya from al-Khadim airbase in the western part of the country. However, it is unclear yet if the GNA’s claims are true.
Whatever carried out these attacks. It’s all good for Libyans.
Khalifa Haftar has obviously watched enough, on his tv set in Falls Church, Virginia, of the US/EU/saudi turning his country into a murderous and corrupt shit hole.
Haftar was with Qaddafi when Qaddafi seized power all those years ago. Now because he won’t pull the US/nato cart after all the brainwashing he must have had in Virginia, he is labeled as another rogue leader.
Perhaps the ghost of Saddam still haunts the cia.
The spirit of Qaddafi lives on and Khalifa should know all the tricks for uniting Libya, having done it under Qaddafi.
yes i hope libya is returned to normal as it was before 2011
