On May 27, the Libyan National Army (LNA) backed by warplanes of the UAE Air Force resumed its advance south of the northeastern city of Derna and captured the Tamiskit area from the Shura Council of Mujahedeen in Derna (SCMD), according to the Libyan outlet Africa Gate News.

Sources close to the LNA acknowledged that an IED planted by SCMD fighters had killed four soldiers of the LNA south of Derna, while two other soldiers had been injured during the clashes in Tamiskit area.

From its side, the pro-SCMD news outlet Derna Red Line (DRL) reported that SCMD fighters repelled an attack by the LNA on their positions in al-Fataih and al-Dahr areas east of Derna. Reportedly, SCMD fighters killed two soldiers of the LNA during the clashes.

The DRL also revealed that two fighters of the SCMD were killed in an airstrike on Derna, which was carried out by an Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) of the UAE Air Force on May 26.

The LNA, backed by the UAE and Egypt, launched its offensive against the SCMD in Derna on May 7. Since then, the LNA had managed to capture several key positions east and south of the city, but failed to advance west of it. Due to this, observers believe that in the upcoming weeks the LNA will focus on developing its attack on the southern and eastern parts of Derna.

No reports on casualties or the size of armies participating… I suppose the size of both armies would depend how you count, and the casualties are low necause no one is willing to take risks for each other.

Nice job America and Western Europe. Enjoy the fruits of your labor.

I don’t understand why did they have to overthrow Ghaddafi? He was a good guy that kept his country prosperous and there was very little radical Islamism in his country before he was overthrown. He was also very helpful in fighting against jihadists and preventing smugglers from flooding Europe with illegal immigrants and refugees. The utter stupidity of European leaders never ceases to amaze me.

Ghaddafi had proposed a gold dinar, and was accepting Euros and gold for oil.
Those things are considered a threat to the US, so they killed him, and stole the 143 tons of gold that Libya owned. The Europeans are little more than vassal states, when Washington says jump, they reply how high sir.

All wars are about money.

If was an American, European leader, I would’ve simply traded with him and normalized relations while preventing refugee hordes from coming across the Mediterranean. He even willingly gave up his WMD program, and got betrayed as a result?! Ugh….

and power.

Power comes from money, ask Jacob Rothschild or George Soros.

Did you know the south would have won the US civil war, if not for money from Rothschild?

Brute power crushes money (aka. go Atilla the Hun on them).

Who pays the wages of the troops?
Who pays for the bombs?
An RPG round costs a grand, do you really think an average Arab could buy even one round?
All wars come from money, and are waged to make more money.
Do you think the USA became so rich because of hard work?
Americas wealth is stolen from the countries it controls, all must pay tribute to the empire or be destroyed.

Yemen has oil fields? Mountainous terrain usually don’t have oil.
