On January 15, several videos documenting some of the Russian military’s recent operations against Kiev forces surfaced online.
14 of the videos show a series of drone attacks that targeted Ukrainian troops, posts and equipment, including other drones, across several directions within the special military operation zone over the last few days. Notably, many of the attacks were carried out using Lancet loitering munitions.
Another video shows recent attacks with TOS thermobaric rocket launchers on Ukrainian fortifications near the settlements of Staritsa and Vovchansk in the Kharkiv direction.
Two more videos show airstrikes with UMPK-equipped guided glide bombs that hit positions of Kiev forces close to the city of Huliaipole and in the settlements of Gorkoe and Novoe Pole in the direction of Zaporozhye, as well as a river crossing near the settlement of Osinovo in Kharkiv.
In its daily briefing, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that missile, drone and artillery strikes hit “energy and transport infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as command posts and temporary deployment areas of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 162 areas” over the past 24 hours.
The ministry also said that Russian air defenses intercepted five guided aerial bombs, two Neptune cruise missiles, one American-made HIMARS projectile, and 265 fixed-wing drones during the same period.
According to the ministry, Kiev forces have lost 670 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 109,190 drones, 645 air defense systems, 27,140 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,641 multiple rocket launchers, 32,596 artillery pieces, and 51,877 support vehicles since the start of the special military operation.
