The Ukrainian Armed Forces have carried out an intentional strike at a hospital in the town of Gorlovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic on December 19.
The attack took place at broad day light, right at the moment when people were entering the hospital building.
Eight people were injured, five of whom were patients, in the attack. Four people are still in serious condition. According to reports, doctors were carrying the wounded inside the hospital building when the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck once again. Shrapnel from cluster munitions also hit nearby shops, pharmacies and residential buildings on neighboring streets.
The city’s mayor Ivan Prikhodko also reported that at least Eight civilians were injured near the hospital as a result of shelling from the Ukrainian side.
This attack became one of the most recent but not the only of a long series of war crimes carried out by the Kyiv regime. The Ukrainian Armed Forces Intentionally attack hospitals and other civilian objects in an apparent policy of terror against the local population in the region.
The apparent spike in the bombardment of civilian targets in the Donbass comes amid an overall intensification of military developments in the conflict. Pro-Kyiv forces have experienced a series of setbacks in the region over the past months. So, they try to compensate this with increased strikes on towns in the region.
