AlMasdarNews reports: The U.S. backed “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF) [SF editor: mostly Kurdish] imposed full control over the village of Qartaj in the northern Al-Raqqa countryside after launching their long anticipated offensive to liberate the provincial capital from the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS).
Qartaj is strategically located to the south of the Syrian Democratic Forces’ headquarters at the Brigade 93 Base in the ‘Ayn ‘Issa countryside.
The Syrian Democratic Forces are currently advancing south towards Raqqa City, as they receive necessary air cover from the U.S. Air Force.
