In the direction of Kostiantynivka, Russian units have reached Lenin Street in the city center. They are advancing from School No. 5 and through the Hruzka ravine. This maneuver is intended to envelop the city. Consequently, part of the garrison is effectively isolated from the main forces. In the direction of Kharkiv, Russian troops have taken control of Hranove and cleared Novovasylivka. They are currently fighting in Shevchenko and on the approaches to Kozacha Lopan. This threatens the defensive system of Ukrainian units along the Verkhnia Dvorichna River. In the Zaporizhzhia area, Russian troops continue to engage positions in the direction of Liubitske, a key supply point for Orikhiv, which is now less than eight kilometers away, after capturing Vozdvizhevka. In the direction of Krasnyi Lyman, Russian troops have expanded their control zone on the northern approaches to Krasnyi Lyman, advancing 1.5 kilometers from Stavky. In the Sumy area, Russian assault groups advanced 1,000 meters and repelled counterattacks by the 33rd Assault Regiment and the 158th Brigade. They are currently fighting in Ivolzhanske, Kondrativka, and Pisarivka. At a meeting with the NATO Secretary General, the Prime Minister of Hungary, Péter Magyar, stated that Hungary will not send weapons or military equipment to Ukraine.
Kostiantynivka Direction
Units of the “South” troop grouping are continuing their offensive in Kostiantynivka and the surrounding area. In the central part of the city, Russian troops advancing from Illinivka crossed the Kryvyi Torets River through the industrial zone of the former chemical plant and the “Hlaskomerts” enterprise and reached Lenin Street. Seven hundred meters north, Russian units are advancing toward them in the area of School No. 5.
In the western part of the city, Russian assault groups are clashing with Ukrainian forces near School No. 7, the Children’s and Youth Sports School, and the Uspensky Church. In the north, Russian units have largely taken control of the forested area between Molocharka and Novodmytrivka. They have reached Teatralna Street and are advancing along the Hruzka ravine, which is enveloping the city.
Kharkiv Direction
Units of the “North” troop grouping are advancing north of Kharkiv from Krasnyi Khutir. After taking control of Veterynarne and its surroundings, Russian units advanced towards Kozacha Lopan and seized Hranove. Two groups of Ukrainian troops attempting to retreat to Kozacha Lopan were destroyed by their own artillery.
Russian units are engaged in clashes in Shevchenko, on the opposite bank of the Lopan River, and near Kozacha Lopan. They are also fighting for control of the ravine near the Nekhoteevka international road checkpoint. Kozacha Lopan is a settlement where ancient burials have been discovered.
Units of the “North” troop grouping are continuing their offensive southwest of the Valuisky district on the left flank of the grouping. Russian assault units have cleared the forest zone on the slopes of the heights west of the Zalivnoi Forest and the Krasne Pershe settlement. They have also cleared Novovasylivka of Ukrainian units.
Capturing Novovasylivka has allowed Russian troops to expand their control of the right bank of the Oskol River. The further advancement of Russian troops and their reaching of these heights, including the dominant one, could significantly affect the situation in the neighboring Velykyi Burluk sector, where fierce fighting continues in the Kolodezne–Obukhivka–Otradne area.
To ensure more stable logistics for Russian units along the right bank of the Oskol, the village of Petro-Ivanivka and the ravines west of Krasne Pershe, between Novovasylivka and Fyholivka on the left bank of the Verkhnia Dvorichna River, need to be cleared. Controlling Mytrofanivka, which is located on the right bank of the Verkhnia Dvorichna River and at the entrance to the Sukhyi Yar ravine, is important. These tasks, as well as the capture of the key strongpoint of Ukrainian units in Kolodezne, remain to be addressed in the future.
Zaporizhzhia Direction
In the Orikhiv sector of the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian troops continued to engage Ukrainian units in the direction of Liubitske after the capturing of Vozdvizhevka. In this area, naval infantry units of the 40th Brigade and motorized rifle units of the 39th Brigade raised Russian flags in 11 places. The main supply road from Orikhiv to Pokrovske passes through Liubitske. Currently, they are less than eight kilometers from this settlement.
In Preobrazhenka, north of Orikhiv, Russian aviation destroyed a Ukrainian 65th Brigade command post. The aforementioned logistical route to Pokrovske is being struck daily by aviation, which the Ukrainian side has recently been using mainly to transfer weapons. Logistics from Zaporizhzhia have been disrupted due to intense fire from the Stepnohirsk area.
In the Mali Shcherbaky area, Ukrainian units are attempting a counterattack to prevent the encirclement of Orikhiv by Russian troops. The Ukrainian side is actively using various types of drones, though they are experiencing a significant shortage of personnel.
Krasnyi Lyman Direction
In the Krasnyi Lyman area, combat operations continue. Russian units are expanding their control zone on the northern approaches to Krasnyi Lyman, having advanced 1.5 kilometers from Stavky. Consequently, Russian troops are attempting to encircle the remaining Ukrainian forces west of Zarichne.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian units from Holubi Ozera are attempting to attack the western district of Krasnyi Lyman, moving towards the Zelenyi Klyn railway crossing. They are using ground-based robotic systems to deliver ammunition, but these systems are being destroyed by Russian troops.
Almost all of Krasnyi Lyman is in a “gray zone” along the line of combat contact. Ukrainian units control the western outskirts, and Russian units control part of the eastern and southern outskirts. Russian troops control a narrow strip up to the city itself from the direction of Stavky. From the south, Russian troops are advancing through the forested area toward the Shchurove highway.
Sumy Direction
There were no significant changes in the Shostka district. Russian drone operators and artillerymen struck previously identified targets. Assault units from the “North” grouping advanced up to 200 meters in the Bachivsk area. In the Ulanovo area, Ukrainian forces launched a counterattack with two assault groups from the 33rd Separate Assault Regiment.
In the Sumy district, Russian assault units advanced up to 1,000 meters along twenty-two fronts. There are ongoing firefights in Ivolzhanske, Kondrativka, Pisarivka, and the surrounding area. In the Kondrativka area, Ukrainian forces attempted to counterattack with an assault group from the 158th Separate Mechanized Brigade. Firefights continue in the Krasnopillia district between Lisne and Taratutyne.
Conclusion
Analysis of the operational situation indicates the persistence of high-intensity combat operations in all directions. In the direction of Kostiantynivka, Russian units have advanced toward the city center, encircling it, and threatening to completely isolate the Ukrainian garrison. In the Kharkiv area, the capture of Hranove and the clearing of Novovasylivka expand the security zone. This creates conditions for a further offensive on the defensive lines of Ukrainian troops along the Verkhnia Dvorichna River. In the Zaporizhzhia area, the capturing of Vozdvizhevka and the advance toward Liubitske are bringing Russian troops closer to cutting off the key supply route to Orikhiv. In the direction of Krasnyi Lyman, expanding the control zone on the northern approaches and advancing from Stavky create prerequisites for completely enveloping Krasnyi Lyman. In the Sumy area, Russian troops are advancing steadily, fending off counterattacks and putting pressure on Ukrainian defenses.
In the international political context, an important event was the meeting between Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. The meeting took place in Brussels following the change in Hungarian government. Afterwards, Magyar stated that Hungary will not send any weapons or military equipment to the Russian-Ukrainian war. This confirms Budapest’s continued refusal to provide military support to Kyiv, which could affect the unity of Western allies on the issue of supporting Ukraine.
