Kiev Forces Suffer Heavy Losses In New Wave Of Attacks (Videos)

The Russian military has repelled another wave of attacks by Kiev forces in different directions, according to the August 18 briefing by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

In the Donetsk direction, the Russian Yug Group of Forces repelled three Ukrainian attacks close to Avdeyevka, Berestooye and Maryinka.

The ministry said that Ukrainian losses in this direction amounted to 220 troops, three armored fighting vehicles, five motor vehicles, an American-made M-777 towed howitzer, a D-20 towed howitzer and two Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers.

In addition, three ammunition supply points of Kiev forces were destroyed near Dyleyevka, Dzerzhinsk and Novopokrovskoye.

Meanwhile in the South Donetsk direction, the Russian Vostok Group of Forces repelled an attack close to Nikolskoye and targeted Ukrainian units near Urozhainoye and Staromayorskoye.

Up to 210 Ukrainian troops were neutralized in this direction, according to the Ministry. Two infantry fighting vehicles, two armored combat vehicles, three motor vehicles, an American-made M-777 towed howitzer and an MT-12 Rapira anti-tank gun were also destroyed.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian Zapad Group of Forces repelled seven Ukrainian attacks and counter-attacks close to Novosyolovskoye, Sinkovka, Olshana and Mankovka Urochische. The group also targeted an ammunition depot near Kamenka.

The ministry said that 75 Ukrainian troops, three armored fighting vehicles, two pickup trucks and a Polish-made Krab self-propelled howitzer were neutralized during the fighting in this direction. .

In the Krasny Liman direction, the Russian Tsentr Group of Forces repelled two attacks close to Grigorovka and Chervonaya Dibrova. Up to 80 Ukrainian troops, three armored fighting vehicles and two pickup trucks were destroyed there, according to the ministry.

And in the Zaporozhye direction, two new attacks by Kiev forces were repelled close to Rabotino. In addition, a sabotage and reconnaissance unit was neutralized.

The ministry said that 195 Ukrainian troops were neutralized in this direction, adding that two infantry fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles, a Polish-made Krab self-propelled howitzer, an American-made M777 towed howitzer and a British-made L119 towed howitzer were also destroyed during the fighting there.

In the Kherson direction, Kiev forces lost 30 troops, three motor vehicles and an American-made AN/TPQ-37 counter-battery radar station to Russian military fire.

The Russian MoD also provided the following details during its briefing:

Operational-Tactical Aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian grouping of troops engaged manpower, and military hardware of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 143 areas.

Fighter aviation of Russian Aerospace Forces has shot down one Su-25 aircraft of Ukrainian Air Force near Verolyubovka (Donetsk People’s Republic).

Air defense systems have shot down a Su-25 airplane of Ukrainian Air Force near Malaya Tokmachka (Zaporozhye region).

In addition, 26 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have been shot down close to Verkhnyaya Duvanka, Kremennaya, Privolye, Lisichansk (Lugansk People’s Republic), Berestovoye, Krasnaya Gora, Volodino, Orlinskoye (Donetsk People’s Republic), Lyubimovka, Rabotino, and Tokmak (Zaporozhye region).

In total, 461 airplanes and 246 helicopters, 5,831 unmanned aerial vehicles, 431 air defense missile systems, 11,366 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,144 combat vehicles equipped with MLRS, 5,928 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 12,307 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.

In addition, Russian news sources shared videos documenting some of the recent battles in the Zaporozhye direction. The footage shows several destroyed tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers of Kiev forces.

Despite sustaining heavy human and material losses, the Kiev regime will not likely halt its counteroffensive. Kiev forces will likely launch more large-scale attacks in the upcoming weeks in an attempt to make any gains before autumn.

with 0 destroyed bridges and the lack of use of heavy munitions on russia’s side, it is indeed no wonder that the offensive is still going. a couple of foabs could end this in an afternoon but alas.
