The Russian military’s Sever (North) Group of Forces has dealt more blows to the forces of the Kiev regime in the direction of Kursk.
In its November 23 briefing, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that Ukraine’s 41st, 47th, and 115th mechanized brigades, 5th, 17th tank brigades, 82nd Air Assault Brigade, 36th Marines Brigade, 112th, 117th, and 129th territorial defense brigades took more losses close to the settlements of Aleksandria, Gornal, Daryino, Kruglenkoye, Leonidovka, Mirny, Nizhny Klin, Nikolayevo-Daryno, Novoivanovka, Plyokhovo, and Sverdlikovo.
The ministry added that Russian air and artillery strikes hit Ukrainian troops and equipment near the settlements of Aleksandria, Viktorovka, Guyevo, Daryino, Zelyony Shlyakh, Kazachaya Loknya, Kurilovka, Lebedevka, Leonidovo, Malaya Loknya, Martynovka, Melovy, Nikolayevka, Nikolsky, Staraya Sorochina, Sudzha, and Cherkasskoye Porechnoye in Kursk, as well as close to the settlements of Basovka, Belovody, Zhuravka, Loknya, Miropolye, and Yunakovka in the neighboring Ukrainian region of Sumy.
“The AFU [Armed Forces of Ukraine] losses were up to 360 troops during the day. Russian troops destroyed two armored fighting vehicles, German-made Marder and Swedish-made CV-90 combat vehicles, two armored fighting vehicles, 25 motor vehicles, three artillery guns, eight mortars, and two electronic warfare stations,” the ministry detailed in its briefing.
In addition, videos posted to social networks showed some of the strikes that recently targeted Kiev forces in the Kursk direction.
Last August, Kiev forces launched a surprise attack from Sumy into Kursk. The Russian military has been conducting a counter-attack to clear the region since September. So far, nearly half of the occupied territories in Kursk have been liberated.
According to the Russian MoD, since the start of the battle in Kursk Kiev forces have lost 35,050 troops, 215 tanks, 149 infantry fighting vehicles, 120 armored personnel carriers, 1,192 armored fighting vehicles, 1,017 motor vehicles, 300 artillery guns, 40 launchers, including 11 American-made HIMARS and six MLRS systems, 13 air defense systems, seven transport-loading vehicles, 70 electronic warfare stations, 13 counter-battery radars, four aerial radars, 27 engineering vehicles, including 13 counter obstacle vehicles, one UR-77 mine clearing vehicle, six armored recovery vehicle, and one command post vehicle.
