Announcing the start of what appears to be an new military campaign, Defense Minister Israel Katz said on June 27 that he had instructed the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) to “prepare an enforcement plan against Iran that includes maintaining Israel’s air superiority, preventing nuclear advancement and missile production, and responding to Iran for supporting terror activity against Israel.”
“We will act regularly to thwart such threats,” the minister in a post on X, summarizing the IDF’s activities during the 12-day war against Iran.
“I suggest the defanged head of the snake in Tehran, understand and beware: Operation Rising Lion was only the preview of a new Israeli policy, after October 7, immunity is over,” he added.
Israel started the war on June 13 with the goal of crippling Iran’s nuclear program. After gaining aerial superiority over the western and central regions of the Islamic Republic, the IDF expanded its target list to include offensive capabilities.
A ceasefire was suddenly announced on June 24, just two days after the United States joined the war by attacking three key nuclear sites in Iran.
Now, Katz’s remarks indicate that Israel wants to build up on what it sees as a major success by starting a “war-between-the-wars” against the Islamic Republic.
The Israeli term war-between-the-war refers to an inter-war campaign done through the IDF and the Israeli intelligence service to prevent the country’s enemies from developing capabilities that will enable them to violate Israel’s balance of deterrence through detecting and selectively destroying emerging threats to the country’s security.
Israel followed a similar policy towards Syria, targeting the country’s military capabilities overtly and covertly for over a decade until the regime there collapsed. It has been also carrying out a similar campaign against Hezbollah since a ceasefire with Lebanon brokered by the U.S. came into effect late last year.
The situation with Iran is, however, much different. While Syria refrained from responding due to its ongoing civil war at the time, and Hezbollah is doing the same due to pressure from the Lebanese government, the Islamic Republic has demonstrated time after time that it has both the ability and will to strike back.
For example, Iran is still holding onto its nuclear program. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on June 27 that a bill suspending cooperation with the United Nations nuclear watchdog is now “binding” after being passed by lawmakers and approved by a top vetting body.
“The bill that was approved by [parliament] and has been approved by the Guardian Council today… is binding on us and there is no doubt about its implementation,” he told state television. “From now on, our relationship and cooperation with the [International Atomic Energy] Agency will take a new form.”
Nevertheless, determination alone will not be enough to foil Israel’s plans. Even retaliatory strikes won’t cut it. If Iran wants to survive the upcoming Israeli campaign it will have to develop its defensive capabilities, even before working on enhancing its offensive means.
Without closing its airspace and implementing security reforms, the Islamic Republic could eventually find itself with nothing to strike back with.
Katz’s remarks are very clear. Iran should prepare to face assassinations, acts of sabotage and even strikes in coming months. At the same time, it should give diplomacy a fair chance, especially by working with the United States, Russia and China who could curb the enthusiasm of Israel.

all of this pseudo diplomacy is smoke and mirrors. in iran’s case, one can hardly call systematic targeted assassinations a “shadow “ war. even before this recent hot war, israel was and is permanently at war with iran. and the west now has a permanent war posture against brics, especially iran, russia, and china.
until the empire of lies falls that is.
international law & norms have already been dismantled. the so called era of neoliberalism that was ushered post ww2 to serve american’s hegemonic aims has been replaced with gun boat neo-feudalism. the new doctrine adopted by the emerging eastern countries and brics is that the west’s war posture is permanent as a result of their containment strategy against china and its interests.
neoliberalism did not appear until 1970 in us and vassal policies. the post-war welfare state was the opposite of neoliberalism. the bretton woods system erected by the us was in place until approximately 1970, at which point it was dismantled and replaced with neoliberalism in the context of us imperialism.
neoliberalism started officially post ww2 in order to stimulate the economies but it saw a major ramp up in the 70’s due to stagflation. either way, that is gone. we have a new feudalist, neo imperialist model of all out warring, gun-boat diplomatic posture of “do as we say or we sabotage and terrorize your country”
neoliberalism started because the plutocrats decided that they didn’t have to meet the needs of the populations in the industrialized nations and because the us was going to lose its advantage adhering to bretton woods. you’re giving indications of a fundamental lack of understanding of the history of the last eighty years, and of what neoliberalism is. the us brought on the oil shocks of ’73 and ’79, went off the gold standard. nothing to do with “stimulating the economies”.
it’s really stupid to argue within the scope of an internet straw argument. and yes, in every theorem and competing economic philosophy: post war stimulation was the principal aim.
clyde, you are typical american internet troll, not half as smart as you think. speaking of plutocracy, i once stated how all of these terms overlap quite a bit in a venn diagram, i.e. plutocracy, authoritarianism, oligarchy, corporatocracy, etc and you idiotic fat fuck “clyde” kept trolling and drawing straw arguments and said i didn’t know what a venm diagram was. you’re an idiot! dont waste my time!
you’re a bohunk imbecile. sorry about your luck. nothing you’ve ever posted was worth remembering. but if i said you didn’t know what a venn diagram is, it was more than likely true.
there’s no question that your argument is stupid. bretton woods was the economic paradigm in the post-war period until 1972 or so, and it was not neoliberal.
again, you prove to be repulsive internet troll. the term ‘neoliberalism’ has lost precision in recent years due to overuse and conflicting definitions. for the purpose of the original post, i employ the current, more expansive definition: by ‘neoliberal policy’, it is generally implied: any measure intended to lessen the role of states and enhance the role of markets in at least one national economy.
yes woods, keynesian, it doesn’t matter. my point is that we are in a new era where both free market principles and international law is being upended. even constitutional law in us is being undermined by special interests. but again, you are straw-man idiot troll that missed the forest for the trees. is that not what they say in your country? haha
you are a victim of disorganized thinking. that is why true intellectualism seldom comes from america. you were not taught to conceptualize and synthesize information properly.
defense minister israel katz said “thanks you iranian dumbasses we were almost out of missile interceptors and we needed to reload. now that we have we are ready to start fighting again but we just need to finish preparing another decapitation strike so give us about a month.”
took decades for the jewish supremacist organized crime enclave in palestine to let fly with their murder binge. they won’t be ready again in a month.
i hope your right, the next time the idf attacks iran there won’t be a single government official left alive.
right, because they really held back. thanks for derping, shitcock.
iran’s religious structure means it can govern itself regardless of how many assassinations it faces, like the taliban did. it isn’t a junta run by about 30 pedophiles trying to protect and hide themselves, like israel and the us are
they’ve only just begun… and as a taxpayer to pox americana -so proud of our potu$ “0range shanker.
“trump says he would bomb iran again ‘without question’ & not looking to drop sanctions anymore”… because the stress of being blackmailed by compromising videos screwing under age children by your “parasite”… and the onset of tertiary syphilis makes him “crazy”!….
people keep thinking they have grip on tramp. no such thing. yeah, they have dirt, they have dirt on everyone, even nutsack. but to believe tramp does what he does because they have dirt on him is not giving tramp his due. he was a partner in crime, they even used tramp properties. epstein said in a recording that tramp was a lowlife who screwed his friends wives and did all sorts of evil shit. was he forced to do that as well? no.
yeah looks like iran got fucked up real good. iran no longer has effective air defense, no enrichment, no enriched uranium no airforce and very few ballistic missiles left. serves them right idiots. nice guys finish last. hehehe.
the tel aviv stock exchange kept going up after october 7, 2023 and barely flinched during the 12 day war. whatever got destroyed in israel will be rebuilt quickly with us dollars
doesn’t look like that at all to someone whose perspective isn’t trying to look past their boyfriend’s nutsack. what a tragedy that iran lost some f-5’s and f-14’s. canada, a third-rate imperial satrapy retired their f-5’s three decades ago. the f-14 went out of service two decades ago. a snapshot of ongoing jewish supremacist swindling hardly entails an assessment of strategic outcomes. thanks for derping, shitcock.
even if iran had had su-57s, su-35s, tu-160, tu-22s, or tu-95 they would have been all destroyed.
just look what we did to you cabroncito, way far inside your crapper in siberia.
who’s we? you and the load in your mouth?
takes a retard to expose himself as a zioclot uki sack licker… and also be dumb enough to assume everyone in the chat is russian or iranian…what a fukking narcissistic tard-wanker…
und ficken putein und ficken xi kingpin.
fuckers
joan my dear, you must cease drinking that spoiled orange kool-ade. it’s rotting your single brain cell. you’re right about the u.s. dollars though, until the people in the u.s. get wind of it that is. trump is in deep shit at home. all his lies about everything the loon ever said is coming home to roost. i knew, i didn’t know, i was in on it, i wasn’t in on it, i know it all, i don’t know shit. only the last claim is true and that’s about everything.
crock of bulls-shite… insider trading before the israeli orchestrated oct 7th bs…terrorists made up with ai… stock market is flushing down the toilet… the only creature more idiotic and delusional than a feminist, is a zionist…both narcopsychopathic.. funny how the bulldozers had to be recall from gaza to tel aviv and haifa… funny as fuk
“give diplomacy a fair chance?”. ha ha ha.
any diplomats or negotiators who come forward for talks are routinely murdered by the joo murder gangs.
exactly, this specifically why you, me, everybody, can not, cannnnnn nnnnnnot ever hope to even talk sense to, let alone even negociate with this terroristic genocide cult of satanic jews.
close hormuz and get bombs off the shelf from n. kores.
my friends in iran never seen white trail of jets in the sky during the war, therefore israel never flew over iran and just launched air to ground missile from irak airspace using usaf iff codes.
perzactly. iran’s biggest mistake is not taking out those bases in the area where they launch from.
are you inferring that israel never actually flew over tehran?
again i will be unpopular by saying no, iran does not have the will. look to its instant abandonment of its clients plus its obvious fright at launching any missile attacks against israel, plus their small number, plus their obvious failures to maintain even basic operational security. zionist imperial expansion to covr riran will be a standing humiliation.
not unpopular. nobody cares about your absurd talking points.
which is why you read my epistles with such eagerness. but then ,while a prophet might be without honour in his own country, entirely true that no other country owes him any particular regard at all. being right when others are wrong is seldom popular anywhere.
eagerness? you give your bullshit far too much credit. you’re the only one who thinks you’re right.
listen to this filthy jew scab… anyone would think taht it was the iranians who got their sht pushed in and had to plead with big daddy trump to come in and save their leprous pox-ridden hide.
fcking dirty lying pernicious jew trash.
little feeble jew, embarassed by being publically ashamed when he failed to match the rhetoric, now shooting off his sht filled face hole in a failed attempt to invoke fear in those he hates.
if the judeo-fascists attack again then iran resumes the missile barrage.
simples.
now go and fck off you dirty scumbag yid
not sure where you got your info? i know it wasn’t from boots on the ground israel as they’ve been in media blackout mode since weizmann “keiser” institute was kablooey-ed. cheers to iran, though wars are effn beyond stupid, as is apartheid states like israel, i mean seriously, it’s the 21st century and nobody gives an eff about your feelings.
the jews are not a peaceful people. they are not a content people. they will always be miserable and discontent. “zionism” as a safe homeland for jews is over. from now, israel will become more extreme, more reckless and more of a liability for the west. “zionism” will ultimately be the undoing of the ussa
israel is justifying iranian preemptive strikes on israel. thats all their doing really.
curb israel, what a joke israel is extension of us. they stopped when tramp said stop. they will start when ramp says start. the attacks on lebanon will restart, wait and see. iran should have found iaf bases, wherever they are, and destroyed them.
israhell’s wars will be over when the maggot is finaaly crushed by arabs with balls after they have rid their oily fiefdoms of jussan owned hoes.
khamenei will be killed and we will await iran, turkey, russia, sudan, and libya to help the helpless leadershi in iran to attack israel next time.
