On March 17, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced that it had struck targets of Hezbollah in four different towns in southern Lebanon.

The targets included infrastructure and an observation post in the town of Aitaroun, a building used by the terror group in the town of Aalma al-Shaab as well as observation posts in the towns of Ayta al-Shaab and Marwahin, according to a statement released by the IDF.

The IDF releases footage showing the strikes. Lebanese media didn’t report any civilian casualties as a result of recent Israeli strikes. Hezbollah also didn’t report any losses.

The strikes didn’t deter Hezbollah who announced three attacks against the IDF during the day in three separate statements.

Hezbollah said its fighters targeted a gathering of Israeli troops close to the Mitat barracks with rockets, and another across the border from the southern Lebanese town of al-Wazzani using “suitable weapons. The group’s fighters also targeted surveillance equipment of the IDF at the al-Asi site with heavy machine guns.

The attacks were carried out “to support the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their brave and honorable resistance,” Hezbollah noted in its statements. Hebrew media didn’t report any losses.

Hezbollah and its allies have been launching attacks from southern Lebanon against the IDF since the outbreak of the war in Gaza.

So far, the border clashes have resulted in seven civilian deaths on the Israeli side, as well as the deaths of at least ten IDF soldiers and reservists. On the Lebanese side, more than 300 people have been killed, including 228 fighters of Hezbollah and at least 50 civilians.

well spotted. i missed it first read: fourth line down describes them as a terror group. that’s strange because russia views them as a legitimate socio political force. but putin regards israel as part of the russian speaking cultural orbit because of the number of russians who decided to move to israel. hence the russian dilemma with israel.

the sentence ends with ” according to a statement released by the idf”, i think that they forgot to add quotation marks, and that those are not southfront’s words, rather it’s a quote from the israeli occupation forces.
but still i think sf shouldn’t be repeating the zionist propaganda terminology, better to use the correct words (like “resistance group”, “lebanese armed resistance”, or simply “hezbollah”)

yeh, you’re correct. i hate the phrase they normally use: ” iran backed”.

The Crunge

i saw an interesting article in iranian press tv that talked about an israeli news source saying it’s hezbollah is bombing us back to the stone age. ironic since the idf head says they’d bomb lebanon back into the stone age.

idk if they’re really getting hit that bad by hezbollah or just complaining a lot though.

both. hezbollah is killing a lot of idf, although they don’t admit it. settlers know the score, they see the dead and wounded leaving. but, they’re big cry-babies as well, they run because they can’t sleep at night…they shake at every boom, they want the idf to do more, but they can’t. a whole lot are returning to their other nationality in the us and eu. most ain’t coming back, they’ve read the writing on the wall.
