Airstrikes on the Gaza Strip were carried out by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) at 4:00 am local time on Thursday morning. The strikes came in response to a single rocket, struck an open area in southern Israel, and targeted members of the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement.

According to the Jerusalem Post newspaper, a spokesman for the IDF confirmed that three Hamas terror infrastructure sites were targeted by Israeli aircraft in the Gaza Strip, and blamed the group for launching a rocket at Israel.

According to social media reports and Arabic media, the IDF’s F-16 warplanes struck multiple sites in Gaza, including the Hamas training area in Shujaeya and agricultural land in the northern Gaza Strip. Reportedly, a fire from the Israeli strikes also broken out in Gaza city. There is no information about any casualties.

Earlier, the IDF acknowledged that southern Israel had been struck by a Palestinian rocket. The missile hit an open area. According to reports, there were not any casualties.

The latest airstrikes were carried out right after Israeli aircraft struck targets in southern Syria in response to stray cross-border earlier, which entered Israel.

“The IDF will not tolerate any attempt to harm Israel’s sovereignty and the security of its residents. The IDF sees the Syrian regime as responsible for what takes place in its territory, and will not hesitate to act against other resistance elements in Syria,” the Israeli military said in a statement.

Israel is regularly hit by rockets, fired from Gaza, but these missiles rarely cause any damage. The Hamas, which controls the Palestinian territory, has never admitted responsibility for any of these attacks on Israel. However, Tel Aviv believes that the organization is responsible for everything that takes place on the Gaza Strip.

Hamas is not launching these. Just as the SAA are not launching rockets from Syria.
It is pro-Israel groups that fire rockets into Israel at Israels request so they can have an international excuse to target and destroy important Gaza and Syrian defensive structures that are deterrents against Israel.
Israel wages a war called “Erosion” where they like to erode enemy installations every few months.
Israel is the perpetrator against themselves, and also plays victim.

Pro-Israel groups inside Gaza (not being purged out by Palestinian groups)? sure it makes sense Israel would want that but I just question the technical plausibility of such a thing…
