Late on November 3, four rockets were launched from the Palestinian Gaza Strip at nearby Israeli settlements provoking a response from the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).
Incoming rocket sirens were sounded in Kissufim, Ein HaShlosha, and Nirim. The IDF said that the first rocket was intercepted by the Iron Dome system. The other three, which were fired an hour later, fell short in Gaza. No casualties were reported after the rocket attack.
The IDF responded to the rocket attack by launching a series of strikes on Gaza early on November 4. The army said that the strikes targeted a “unique” underground rocket manufacturing facility of the Hamas Movement, the de-facto ruler of the Palestinian enclave.
A satellite image of the targeted facility was released by the IDF. The image shows an area near several buildings and agricultural plots on the northwest edge of the al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza.
Palestinian media said that the 13th Division of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, was struck. The IDF strikes didn’t result in any casualties.
During the strikes, Palestinian fighters fired heavy machine-gun fire at Israeli warplanes over Gaza. At least one home in the southern Israeli city of Sderot was hit by the falling large-caliber bullets.
The rocket attack came hours after a commander of Palestinian Islamic Jihad was killed during an Israeli military operation in the West Bank city of Jenin. The group, which maintains a large presence in Gaza, vowed to avenge his death in an official statement.
The recent developments in Gaza indicate that the violence in the West Bank could once again spread into the enclave. In August, Israeli launched a large attack on Gaza in response to attacks that took place in the West Bank and Jerusalem. At least 49 Palestinians were killed back then.

I look forward to the day when thousands of Iranian drones burn the nest of welfare warfare squatting vermin in occupied apartheid Palestine.
