The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) continues its military operations in order to secure the cemetery area in Deir Ezzor. The SAA seeks to secure the area to prevent the Islamic State terrorist group from launching attacks against the Deir Ezzor military airport.
Troops of the Republican Guard led by Issam Zahreddine are the main force protecting the airport encircled by ISIS terrorists. The government troops in the area mostly depends on air-delivered supplies. Russian and Syrian planes carry out daily supply missions to provide ammunition, food and replacement pieces for heavy weapons. This allowed to refurbish a large number of armored vehicles in operated by troops in the airport.
Meanwhile, the Assistant Secretary of the Ba’ath Party Hilal Hilal visited the besieged city to get an overview of local living conditions and works on increasing vital supplies.
According to reports, ISIS began redeploying a large number of fighters from the Deir Ezzor area to Tabqa and Raqqa after the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) carried out a successful airborne operation at the Tabqa dam and cut off the Aleppo-Raqqa highway on Wednesday.
It is expected that the terrorist group will continue limited military operations in the vicinity of Deir Ezzor airport. However, the main ISIS force will focus on repelling the US-backed advance in Raqqa and Tabqa.
Two things will now happen: the ISIS units will get blasted from above while in transit and the SDF will cross the river close to Deir Azzor.
This is good for SAA
How much? If they are only few thousand the situation in Deir Ezzor don’t will change (is a stand-off). If they are almost the half of the troops, SAA will regain terrain
GOOD JOB SDF!
This is what I wanted to hear! Less pressure on SAA at Deir Ezzor.
They should be able to link up the two pockets at least.
In the end the whole bunch of Daesh blood sucking mercenaries will redeploy as vulture bait.
YESS SYAF RUAF EVEN USAF HIT EM HARD!!!
Poor little Wahabbis… they should never have fucked that goat….
If it sounds too good to be true , usually it is .I
May be true, Daesh has to respond to an attack on their home turf. :)
