On July 13, ISIS news agency, Amaq, released photos documenting attacks carried out by the group’s cells against Egyptian government forces in the Sinai Peninsula in the last two months.

The photos show ISIS terrorists attacking military posts with machine guns and mortars, clashing with government forces, planting improvised explosive devices and targeting soldiers with sniper rifles in the outskirts of the city of Rafah in northern Sinai.

One of Amaq’s photos shows what appears to be a AT-802U counter-insurgency (COIN) warplane of the Egyptian Air Force.

ISIS cells have also been active in several other parts of Sinai. This month, the terrorists carried out several attacks near the city of Sheikh Zuweid in the northern part of the peninsula:

  • On July 11, ISIS cells targeted a battle tank of the Egyptian Armed Force near the town of al-Toumah with an IED.

  • On July 12, the terrorists targeted the second battle tank of the Egyptian Armed Forces and a pickup truck of pro-government tribal forces near the town of Abu al-Uraj with IEDs.

Egyptian government forces have been operating non-stop against ISIS cells in Sinai for more than six years now. The terrorist group’s presence in the region today is less significant than before.

Egyptians are the worst low life’s in the region and have no shame. I was in Cairo and every male is a tout, pimp or beggar and they hassle you relentlessly for handouts. Egyptians are disgraceful and no wonder sold out to the Zionists for barely a few dollars.
