On Sunday, Syrian government forces, led by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) Tiger Forces, captured the strategic quarry hill near the Jirah Military Airport and several other points in the surrounding area.
On Satuday, the SAA repelled a large ISIS attack on the Jarah Saghir village near the Jirah Military Airport that was captured by the SAA on May 12.
During their attack, ISIS terrorists destroyed a T-55 battle tank, a BMP-1 vehiclle and a technical armed with a 23mm gun belonging to the SAA.
On Sunday, ISIS shelled positions of the SAA in the village of Atashana with a 57mm gun.

Russian and Syrian Air Force warplanes bombed ISIS positions in the town of Maskanah and the surrounding villages.
From its side, ISIS deployed reinforcements in south of the Jirah Military Airport and near Maskanah. If the SAA captures the town of Maskanah, ISIS will lose almost all weapons smuggling routes from Idlib.
