ISIS Failed to Re-Take Syrian Army Base in Homs, 20 Terrorists Killed

The ISIS terrorist group attacked a Syrian army base, located in the Huwesis area in eastern Homs on Monday, a pro-Kurdish media outlet, ARA News, reported, citing local sources.

ISIS terrorists stormed the base after a proacted shelling from the Sawan Hill. However, the Syrian army, supported by Russian warplanes, was able to repel the attack.

The report says that 20 terrorists and 35 army soldiers were killed in the clashes, adding that recently ISIS has deployed reinforcements to eastern Homs in an attempt to defend the Sha’er Gas Field from the Syrian government forces.
