ISIS Claims Responsibility for Killing of Police Officer in France

A man claiming allegiance to the ISIS terrorist group stabbed a senior French police officer and his partner to death at their home in a small town northwest of Paris on June 13.

The attacker was identified as 25-year-old Larossi Abballa. He repeatedly stabbed the police captain outside his home in Magnanville before taking his partner and their son hostage. Then Abballa was shot dead by an elite French police unit that had arrived and raided the home. The polce unit found the woman dead and rescued the boy. According to reports, the woman was an employee of the Interior Ministry.

Larossi Abballa was alledgedly sentenced in 2013 for links to a jihadist network that sent recruits to Pakistan.

The ISIS terrorist gropu has claimed responsibility for the attack through its media outlets.
