ISIS terrorists have reportedly destroyed military bulldozers of the Egyptian Armed Forces in two separate attacks in the Sinai Peninsula.

The first bulldozer was destroyed near the town of al-Lafitat, south of the city of Sheikh Zuweid, in northern Sinai on August 3. The bulldozer was targeted with an improvised explosive device (IED).

On August 5, the second bulldozer was destroyed near the town of al-Fallujah, west of the city of Rafah, in northern Sinai. The terrorists also used an IED.

In the last few months, ISIS cells carried out dozens of IED attacks on government forces in Sinai. Explosive devices are providing the terrorist group with a low-risk, low-cost method to inflict serious losses on its enemies.

The Egyptian military and security forces are conducting operations against ISIS remnants in the Sinai Peninsula on a regular basis.

The repeated operations inflicted heavy losses on ISIS cells in Sinai. Nevertheless, the terrorist group is still active in the region, especially near the large cities in the north.
