The Syrian army continued to hit the terrorists’ military positions and gather centers in Sweida province, inflicting heavy losses on them, the Fars news agency reported Thursday.

An operation against a gathering of the IS terrorists was carried out by the Syrian army in the Eastern parts of Sweida province. As result, the terrorists suffered heavy losses of weapons and personnel.

Two of the terrorists’ vehicles, one of which was equipped with a heavy machinegun, were also destroyed during the operation. Tens of terrorists were also killed in al-Muftira town in the Eastern countryside of the province.

A unit of the Syrian army confronted the IS-linked terrorist groups, while they were trying to move towards Tal Zalfa’a and Abu Harat in the Northeast of Sweida province.

On August 2, the IS gathering centers in the East of the village of Khalkhala were attacked by the Syrian army, as result, the terrorists sustained heavy losses.

At the same time, intensive strikes on the IS military positions were carried out by another army unit in Rajm al-Dawla the Northeast of Sweida city. Two vehicles with all terrorists on board were destroyed.

On July 31, a fresh round of offensives on the positions of the IS was launched by the Syrian army troops in Eastern Sweida. Several casualties on the militants were inflicted.

Syrian soldiers’ anti-terrorism offensive on the IS centers in the Western side of al-Rasiyeh region left tens of the Takfiri terrorists dead or wounded. The IS military equipment also sustained major losses.

On July 30, the Syrian army troops launched the heavy attacks on a long convoy of the IS vehicles in Northeastern Sweida.

Several members of the IS were killed or wounded and at least four of their heavy machinegun-equipped vehicles were damaged in the Syrian army’s assault near the village of al-Qassar.
