Iraq's Army Liberates More Villages Near Fallujah

AlMasdarNews reports: The Iraqi Army has been rolling through the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) controlled territory in western Iraq since they lifted the 18 month long siege at Haditha.

On Thursday, they continued their ongoing campaign in the Al-Anbar Governorate, liberating 4 more villages from the ISIS terrorists near the strategic city of Fallujah.

According to the Iraqi Army activist, Haider Sumeiri, the Iraqi forces liberated villages of Albu Khamis, Albu Khalid, Albu ‘Asi, and Albu Manahi in southern Fallujah on Thursday.

The Iraqi Armed Forces have liberated most of the Al-Anbar Governorate from ISIS, leaving only Karma, Fallujah, and Al-Qa’im under the latter’s control.
