Iraqi security forces have arrested 26 ISIS-linked suspects in the city of Mosul, the security forces command said in a statment on March 6.
The suspects were arrested withing the ongoing operation against ISIS cells in the western part of Mosul.
The arrests followed the March 5 attack by ISIS terrorists, which resulted in killing of 4 policemen in the district of al-Haramat in western Mosul.
Since the formal liberation of Mosul from ISIS in July 2017, security forces have been struggling to establish a security in the liberated area. However, ISIS cells are still actively operate in Mosul and continue conducting hit and run attacks against government forces.
