The PMU has allegedly killed 57 ISIS fighters and destroyed 7 VBIEDs and 3 vehicles during the “Muhammad Rassol Allah 2” operation so far. The Iraqi Air Force has destroyed 3 ISIS mortar positions.

Separately, the Iraqi Air Force also destroyed an ISIS snipers training camp and a military command center in the Hawijah area west of Karkuk.

The PMU has reportedly captured weapons and ammunition from ISIS terrorists and discovered an ISIS communications center in the village of Tal Hajim.

Meanwhile, PMU fighters are temporarily evacuating civilians from the ongoing battles areas.

In Mosul, the Iraqi Army continued its advance and managed to take full control of the strategic Al-Islah al-Zira’y district in the right part of the city of Mosul. Thus, only 10 districts remained under the control of ISIS.

If the pmu was fighting inside mosul city , Mosul would’ve been free the same day they’d enterd it. Too bad U.s won’t allow the pmu too fight inside mosul. We all know the reasons why ofcourse.

Free man

Of course we know what interaction, on the battlefield, between Sunni and Shiites creates. And it’s good that the Americans have finally learned that.

Sadde

US (and company) have always known about these conflicts between different groups in ME and has never hesitated to use those for own short-sighted objectives no matter the consequences for the inhabitants. Just look what a mess they’ve made of the areas from Afghanistan in Central Asia, through Iraq and Syria in the Middle East to Libya in North Africa since in 2000.

Free man

A combination of misunderstanding, short Sight, arrogance and the thought that power will solve everything.

You kidding? Theyre not that good! They will liberate tal afar …. next century

They are not allowed to enter Tel Afar until Mosul is finished . And when Mosul will be finished . The battle for Raqqa will being before it is done

Turkey did threaten to get involved if the PMU moved on Tel Afar, so it may have to be taken by Iraqi army. Meanwhile PMU will be moving west towards the Syrian border.

Pmu are not as under control of the iraqi interior ministry as much as you think. They tried entering over 3 times already in case you forgot, and sustained heavy losses. There were pictures of isis stamping their foot on corpses on this very site
