Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) fighters, backed up by the Iraqi Air Force, have been advancing against ISIS terrorists southwest of Mosul in the Iraqi province of Nineveh.
On April 25, the PMU launched an operation Diyala and Salahuddin provinces. So far, the PMU has liberated over 14 sites in the area: al-Musaltan, Albu Alwan, Tal Halala, Tal Rajim, Dabsa, Oliba al-Gharbiyah, al-Kunayfis, al-Athouri, al-Huwaider, Salal, Oliba, Oliba al-Sharkiyah, Saadan and Saidyia, and reached the ancient city of Hatra.
The PMU advance will allow to further secure the Baghdad-Tikrit-Mosul road as well as to set a ground for further anti-ISIS operations after the widely-expected liberation of Mosul.
TAL AFAR WILL BE LIBERATED NEXT MILLENNIUM IT SEEMS LOL
I was wondering about that, yes.
Are they worried that Turkey might try to intervene to save their IS buddies there?
