Iraqi Security Forces (ISF) and the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) have liberated 6 villages – Musaltan, al-Awad, Tal Shanan, Obaidi, Arab Leith and al-Mafi – from ISIS terrorists along the Mosul-Tikrit highway, according to pro-government media activists.
Earlier this week, ISF and PMU launched a military operation in order to secure the Mosul-Tikrit highway and liberated the villages of Jaber Huweidi, Hindi, Admana and Fayyad al-Thalj from ISIS.
Epic surrounds everywhere, that’s how you do it. Get rekt, ISIS.
If Iraq is to remain one country, it needs democratic confederalism. The Yazidis in Sinjar and the Assyrians in Niniveh Plains deserve their own autonomous provinces/regions. Same thing with Sunni Arabs. Just like in Northern Syria, there should be a secular federal democracy that respects the cultural, national, linguistic and religious rights of all groups.
Right now the KRG and Baghdad insist on centralism and reactionary politics that denies social justice and gender equality. The PKK is showing the way forward.
