Iraqi forces are preparing to liberate the ISIS-held neighborhoods of Zanjili, Bab Sinjar and Al-Shifa as well as the Old Mosul area in western Mosul. Iraqi air force warplanes destroyed several arms depots, headquarters and vehicles belonging to ISIS in these districts.

Iraqi forces were working to secure the liberated district, where they discovered a large mortar shells depot in Al-Najjar district, and a headquarters of a Sharia court for ISIS in the 17 Tamoz district.

ISIS claimed that its members destroyed a Humvee vehicle and killed a Iraqi SWAT officer in Al-Najjar district. ISIS also claimed that its snipers killed six more SWAT officers in the Rifai district.

The Iraqi Federal Police Forces announced that they would use a remote controlled 107mm rocket launcher – Iraqi made – in the final attack on ISIS in Mosul. It would enable Iraqi forces to target ISIS positions and vehicles from a safe distance.

Remember when the Caliphate said they would march on Baghdad and Damascus.
We have all come a long way since 2014.

But anyway, congrats to Iraq on this victory of epic proportions. Now to seal the border and rebuild what has been broken.
