Iraqi Army Captures Al-Tanak District In Western Mosul

On April 23, the Iraqi Army took full control of Al-Tanak district in western Mosul after fierce clashes with ISIS that lasted for a week.

Now, Iraqi forces could attack the industrial area in Mosul from both west and the south directions. It’s worth to note that a majority of ISIS workshops producing VBIED, IED, mortars and rockets are located in the industrial area.

From its side, ISIS continued attacking Iraqi forces in Al-Thawra district, where it claimed damaging two armored vehicles and downing a drone belonging to the Iraqi Army.

ISIS also claimed downing two drones above Bab al-Tob district in the Old Mosul area.

On the other hand, the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units claimed that one of its command center in the village of Ein Hossan, south of Tal Afar had been hit by four missiles containing chlorine gas. The shelling allegedly caused many injuries.

The Iraqi Air Force destroyed two ISIS fuel tankers in the Rifai district in the right part of Mosul.

Meanwhile, Iraqi intelligence services managed to arrest two suicide bombers from the Al-Ameeriya area west of Baghdad. Terrorists were planning to launch attacks against civilians in the city.
