- On March 8, the Iranian Navy’s 60th flotilla, consisting of destroyer Bayandor, logistic vessel Bushehr and logistic warship Lavan, repelled an attack of 11 pirate speedboats on an oil tanker in the Gulf of Aden;
- On March 12, Grisha-class corvette MPK-82 and Grachonok-class anti-saboteur ships P-420 and P-377 of the Russian Pacific Fleet participated in live-fire artillery drills in the Peter the Great Gulf;
- On March 7, Steregushchiy-class corvette Stoikiy and Buyan-M-class corvette Serpuhov of the Russian Baltic Fleet conducted liver fire drills engaging air and naval targets;
- On March 7, the Russian Northern Fleet’s Admiral Gorshkov frigate, first of the class, passed the English Channel en route to the Mediterranean;
- On March 6-8, ocean minesweeper Valentin Pikul and Project 22160 patrol ship Vasily Bykov of the Russian Black Sea Fleet held joint drills with Turkey’s corvette Burgazada and minehunter Akcay;
- On March 12, the Russian Northern Fleet’s Admiral Gorshkov frigate, first of the class, entered the Mediterranean.
